The dude had multiple passports on his body, a christian bible, and a rolled up American flag.

Like.... lol....

No spy would carry any of that... but you see how it works for simple propaganda.

Really... this assassin used a fake ID at a McDonalds? Really, he had the firearm still....

McDonalds are all self serve now anyway... even the one's with an attendant don't check ID when you buy a McRib with a credit card.

Regarding them "catching the guy."

The info is: Used a fake ID at Mickey Deez. Had multiple fake IDs. Had a gun with silencer that matched the one seen in the fuzzy security video.

So...

This isn't the real assassin. They lost the trail and they need to get a patsy.

We'll hear that he was a nazi, a child predator, a Dungeons and Dragons player, and a drug dealer.

They need to do two things.

They need to cover up that they lost the guy. They need to try and convince others not to try to do the same thing. If they can't catch this guy, others will think they cant get caught and try it as well.

They need to disparage a folk hero. Too many have celebrated the real assassin and they need to run his name through mud.

It's a classic run book.

And it'll work to a certain extent.

But it's all fake.
