From Mike Hoerger"s PMC #COVID19 Forecasting Model, Nov 11, 2024:

"We're starting to get our 1st glimpse of the shape of the winter wave.

- Expected transmission a month from now: 1.3 million daily infections
- Best-case: 0.7 million daily infections
- Worst-case: 1.8 million daily infections"

CDC's biggest whoppers of 2024

1. Lying by omission re #covid19 & stroke risk.

2. Attempting to retcon / circumvent longstanding charges of denial of airborne covid transmission by changing the language to 'via droplets and through the air' rather than saying airborne.

2b. Clinging to the droplets distinction so private healthcare doesn't have to pay for higher quality PPE & quarantine protocols.

3. Lying by bait-and-switch, focusing on lifestyle changes as the biggest mover of lost/gained QALY (quality-adjusted life years) when PM2.5 & household pollutants are the biggest mover of such.

A big month for next generation Covid vaccine development! 🎉

- The first nextgen vax outperforming Pfizer's for 12 months!

- Next-gen vax is coming with next-gen anti-vax campaigning that's like the anti-mRNA ones on steroids 😳

- More funding news from Project NextGen, with a big trial kicking off, & trying out a smartwatch for clinical trial data collection.

Plus more data from clinical trials & preclinical studies in my update post @PLOS https://absolutelymaybe.plos.org/2024/10/31/strong-longterm-results-and-a-nextgen-anti-vax-campaign-covid-vax-update-22/

Spirit of Australia.

I reckon a 15-year-old could have thought of 20 different ways to approach this, without crossing the law or firing anyone.

Terrible. Pfizer plans to raise the price of Paxlovid next year, 3-5fold-- poss to $2,500 for just a 5-day course of meds.

"More bad news of price gouging by Pfizer," says Eric Topol, right on target again. #Paxlovid #medicine #COVID19
