stay calm. Newsweek is a trash fire source.
Hehehe, I'm pretty calm. I just find it difficult to immediately dismiss trash fire sources these days because a lot of them turn out to be White House press releases.
The big landfill on the hill.
Can't believe it's only been a month. It almost feels like he never left office at all.
Why would he be ousted? He’s very popular in Ukraine. The only way that would happen is if Russia/USA mess with the voting - and I would not put that past them at all. Elections aren’t even due/going to happen in the middle of a war, started by Russia.
I mean, I assume this is just more "flood the zone with shit" disinformation, or an attempt to bring it in as a condition of whatever "peace deal" they think they're brokering (he and Putin). And tbh, I have no idea how popular Zelenskyy is in Ukraine these days. I don't read enough reporting on the war to have an understanding of the political landscape there, although I did see an article about soldiers going AWOL the other day.
You should see the White House page today - it’s a dictatorship / autocracy / king with underlings thing. He’s the supreme ruler and his decision is final. Not even the courts are getting a look in; don’t know what happens if they challenge this, or if SCOTUS would rule against him.
Yeah, I pulled it up about half an hour ago. It seems to be getting worse, having checked the Guardian blog. 47's trying to manufacture a crisis. I'm pretty certain it's because Zelenskyy wouldn't accept that bribe back in 2016.
I think I might start listening to US legal podcasts again. I honestly don't know how the legal system is going to hold up but it'll be a real test for the new justices on SCOTUS.
