Pictured above, a spineless leader who refuses to charge war criminals with war crimes. Why actually use the legal systems everyone props up as functional when necessary?
International law's been a joke for quite some decades now really - it's only applied to those pesky third world genociders, not the ones who started the problems in the first place. Like us, for example 😡
Mhm. So much progress could be made if people learned not to be horrid to each other, so we could actually focus on improving social structures. Law definitely needs an overhaul. We've known that since, what, time immemorial?
But then how would a small cadre of already rich people get ever richer on the back of working people? What are you, a fucking communist or something?!?

:: sigh ::
Worse. An anarchist. You should see these rich knobs lose their shit when you move into their empty, unused lots and buildings.
Hungary did the same yesterday - no surprise there - but Belgium's a real blow. I expect there'll be protests.
it's things like this that discredit the icc. Shows it to be the paper tiger that the rogue governments so want to pretend it is. And by extension discredits the whole notion of a community of nations.
You could argue that the ICC's been pretty toothless since it prosecuted Karadzic.
yes I agree, but is that due to failure on their part or weakness on the part of governments declining to act. Either way it's not ideal.
I think that's a case of one hand washing the other, if you understand what I mean. And, of course, the worst criminals are the very countries who will never be prosecuted.
