T shirt, thermal, sweater, fleece body warmer and wool coat. Not too bad now after a walk to change lunch into heat. The nights are unpleasant though. I did have the heating on briefly this morning for the first time this year, but that was only cuz the thermostat was set too high by mistake.
Nights are better. Two hot water bottles under the duvet a couple of hours before bed, then add two more and top up the water in the first two when I retire, plus two wheatbags inside the pillowcases. And bedsocks. I'll have the heating on briefly later to keep the pipes from freezing (and to warm my pjs for when I get back from choir). I'm going to try and go all winter without putting it on unless absolutely necessary.
Same here, plan to avoid heating save to keeps pipes from freezing. Tbh, I'm considering cancelling the gas bill. It does have potentially health implications though. However, I'm used to colder than most, 10 or 11 c is balmy to me lol. Nights I spend half awake and up so it's a real problem then.
I’ve just been out to count the sheep. Still haven’t lost any although one always hides…I wonder if it’s the same one. Anyway they looked hopeful that I might have food and came over to me. They have plenty of grass still though. I’m now very cold and the woodburner is being slow to get going. Probably shouldn’t be wearing my cashmere fingerless gloves to tend the fire.
🤣 I like the idea that they might be taking turns. Aye, it's baltic now. Countdown to putting the pjs on the radiator and the hwbs under the blanket on the rocking chair for when I get home ... I save my cashmere ones for best (although I don't have a fixed definition for what constitutes "best") - I've got some merino ones for "in the house" 🤷♀️😂
I often count 58 and worry I’ve lost one then it wanders out from behind a tree/hedge/another sheep. The running joke is that there are only 58 and they take it in turn to run around the back when I’m not looking and ‘ta-da!’ 😂

I’m not very good at looking after my things 🙄.

Me neither. The closest I come to looking after the good stuff is by hardly ever wearing it.
