By my count that makes 72,000 job losses announced in the last 10 days. But yay, growth 🙄
Edit: I forgot the 2,700 jobs going at Scunthorpe steelworks.

And Reeves thinks everyone has an easy-peasy time getting another job, regardless of their health and welfare status: because we don’t need ‘pocket-money’….. 🤬
Well when your only experience of the "jobs market" for the last 15 years is the revolving door between Westminster and the City, it makes sense 😡
No one seems to mention that there are already fewer jobs than unemployed people ...
I think I saw some stats saying there's like 1.4 million jobs available. There's roughly 2.3 million people with no work requirements on universal credit (limited capability) and about 1.4 million searching for work. There's about 3.7 million people on pip.

So yeah. More people than there is jobs.
Yeah, that's about it. I think I saw 1.6mn unemployed though, but obviously that's gone up a fair bit now 🙄
Those stats are from 2024 because it goes in line with the tax year, so its going to be different now.

But there's definitly not enough jobs for people. I guess we should share?
And those people who have to have two jobs so they can pay their bills and feed their kids are just being greedy, obvs.
POCKET MONEY!
They're going to build workhouses, aren't they.
Well considering they want more military. Yeah... Probably. Workhouses to make military stuff probably.
And Kendall already said last week that the under 22s who would no longer qualify for PIP etc would be "encouraged" to join the army.
Reluctant recruits are never going to do a good job.
I think quantity is what they're after, rather than quality.
Probably see it as a win/win, thse that go - cannon fodder, those that don't get a "we see you refused to serve, no state help for you" note added to their record forever
