Shit bird photo or not, I'm jealous of the glimpse of blue sky. It has been relentlessly grey here for the entire holiday so far.
It's actually not even cold outside either, which is nice except it's started to fool some of the plants - the baby magnolia's starting to bud and there are new leaves on the fuschia 😔
Yeah, we've seen some confused plants around here too 😞

I wouldn't mind the cold so much, I can wrap up against that. It's just so GREY and WET. I want my proper cold frosty winters back (I will, of course, regret that if the hill from the house turns into a sloping ice rink as it has in the past, because that is TOO exciting).
It's upsetting. I've been trying to fool myself that last year's shitshow on the plant front was a bug rather than a new feature, but I know that's not true 😭
That sounds utterly terrifying. I really hate that slippy-slidy thing. Luckily our local council is brilliant at getting the gritter trucks out, so I've only had to be Very Brave a couple of times.
Our roads are usually quite well gritted, but paths less so, and the road is wiggly so can be a bit worrying. Many years back we had months where the snow & ice didn't melt & really compacted down, & I ended up sliding down a long hill on my knees holding on to buggy. Took me about 15 years to see the funny side of that one 😬
I'd still be milking that experience to make sure the first sign of ice meant I didn't have to go down the hill 😁
The problem is that *everything* is downhill from us 😭 Well, except trees, and they're lovely, but don't offer much in the way of supplies.

edit: that's not really fair on trees is it. They offer a lot, but not directly to me when I'm wondering what we're having for tea.

Same. I love my bus pass 😂
Wait - you mean you don't have bark sandwiches and acorns for tea every day?
Only on special occasions 😆
I like the fanfare.
Inversely proportionate to the quality of the photo Gus 😂
