here we had a handful of elderly ladies and their husbands in tow. Depressingly few women in total and virtually no younger women or girls.
My wife went along so I tagged along and the best thing was blocking the traffic, nothing better than making monster SUVs grind to a halt.

We seem to be sleep walking into a very dark and dangerous place...

Absolutely! The nearest protest to me was 20 miles away 😔
I think we already did the sleepwalking and have arrived. Now we have to fight our way back.
