Shout out for the Rivers of London audiobooks!
Kobna Holbrook-Smith is a *quality* narrator. I was totes unfamiliar with the series (and tbh probably wouldn't have picked up the paper version) but they are most entertaining.

ohhhhh I didn't realize there are audio versions! I love the books!
They are SO good! You're not the first to recommend Bryant and May, I might have to give them another go. Didn't get on with them personally.
Here's a little taster - chapter one of Foxglove Summer, which I'm listening to atm for the umpteenth time 🥰
Ta, much appreciated.
I also love the Bryant&May series!
That’s a very high recommendation, then!
I've just posted a taster chapter in reply to someone else on the thread if you want to try them out 🥰
I'm not usually into audiobooks (other than the Discworld ones old and new) but these ones came highly recommended - I've got the paper ones too but I find it's a good series for holiday re-reading/re-listening! Absolutely agree on Hobna, what a great narrative voice.
Yeah, I picked up the paper ones after listening to them. He's so great with the voices! Abigail and Guleed are definitely my faves. Currently listening to Foxglove Summer for the umpteenth time.
I read the Rivers of London series as they came out, but this year I listened to the whole series on audiobook (borrowed from the library) and Kobna Holbrook-Smith is brilliant. Absolutely perfect for this series.
His characterisation is brilliant. Currently listening to my absolute fave - Foxglove Summer.
These are really good and for those that enjoy them, there is a series of graphic novels that continues several of the story lines too.
they are. Some of the more recent ones have pushed the boundaries, with different central characters etc. it's become quite diverse.
Are those the side offerings? The last one I listened to was Amongst Their Weapons.
I've got False Value on atm, mostly because I love the bit when Molly meets Foxglove.
yes. Short story collections, tales about his niece, one set in 1920s New York, another in the Schwarzwald/Bavaria.
Ah, I haven't bothered with those - I'm not sure they're available on audio. I did buy What Abigail Did That Summer but it's waaaay down the TBR 😂
that's a pretty good one. Abigail first turns up in, I think, Whispers Underground.
Yeah, I like Abigail and the foxes. All the female characters are really well done, which isn't always the case in fantasy.
yes. Just need to look at sword and sorcery and comic book covers to understand that
