FB algorithm found me with the mommy content and it's annoying.

"It only takes a little self esteem to wear skirts and heels even as a tired mom!" - writes the blogger who clearly never gets into the sandbox with the kid, or carries the stroller on public transport.

What I learned about heel wearing and life is that at some point, life wins. 😂
yeah, my philosophy is if I'm gonna be chronically sleep deprived, I'm not gonna add painful toes to that.
Can you believe I went to a lot of my chemotherapy appointments wearing heels. I had some weird thing about trying to appear somewhat together even as I was falling apart. I'm fine now but at 55, I don't wear heels anymore, or just very low ones. I can also say when I was a young mother, I never observed women wearing heels in any gathering of mothers and children unless maybe when they were on their way to work? Anyway, that comment seems unusual to me.

I wasn't wearing heels *before* being a sleep-deprived mother, why should I start now?

Ah, my self-esteem is fine, thanks for asking!
