Hungarian #FolktaleMoment of the day:

Jesus Christ, while walking the earth, encounters some mean and greedy people. And he punishes them by turning all ears of corn in their fields into horse d***s.

#folklore #folktales
this is the most hungarian thing i have ever heard.
Now that's the kind of Christ I need in my life.
A whole new meaning to "y'all need Jesus in your life" 😂
The same Hungarians who taught me that horse d***s was the worst thing you could say were the ones casually dropping eff bombs, in English, left and right. 😄
I feel like. How much of a punishment that is is strongly influenced by how cold it is.
If it goes below freezing soon, that's the start of a new food tradition.
I am now very disappointed that they didn't teach this parable at my Sunday school.
Gives a whole new meaning to corn shucking doesn't it 😆
I have questions. My father in law (born and raised on a farm in Hungary), called corn 'pig food' and refused to eat it. Is that a common sentiment in Hungary? Does it have something to do with this folk tale?
No, not the folktale. But corn meal is a common food for pigs. I don't think many people had those feelings about corn though.
