Oh! I wonder if they'll do the second part of the book? It's quite serious and sad at times. Not at all like the first movie.

god I loved the second part. Especially the jungle and desert part with the stone lion. I would love to see that

There are so many amazing sections. I remember the edible woman in her edible house...the people in a floating village who had no sense of individuality if I remember correctly?...the miner who finds memories, and how fragile the memories are...it all felt emotionally accurate and so profound. I'd forgotten about the lion and the desert. I think the jungle grew every night, and the desert ruled by day?

Also, how every chapter ended with "but that's another story to be told another day."
I kept wanting to hear those stories too 😄

When I was little, our library had one of the editions that was printed in red and green, and I thought that was the most delightful thing.
