When you have a Hungarian-American mixed household, it becomes increasingly difficult to explain to the kid why Santa visits like 5+ times in one season... 😅

(St. Nick's Day, kindergarten St. Nick, kindergarten Santa Clause, home Santa Claus, assorted relative's Clauses... 🎅 🎅 🎅 )

We only supply the home presents 😆
Yeah, same with us in Finland. With the added complication that at Christmas it's either Santa or little baby Jesus. At a certain point, one of my kids called Jesus "Santa's helper". 😂
Monoculture here, but still, it's how my oldest figured IT out as a child. "If the Santa at Kindy wasn't real, and the Santa at the shop isn't real, and they both look different to all the Santas on TV shows, who also aren't real, then ..."
And they didn't even get a visit from Grandfather Frost!
in Belgium we treat st nick and Santa as different people. If you even dare to put Santa Claus decorations up before the 6th (st Nick's day) that's a great way to get your business boycotted. Or used to be, since Santa is winning in popularity because of growing Americanisation.
Imagine when you’re Italian-Hungarian and you get St Nicholas, Jézuska, Babbo Natale, and La Befana all bringing you presents!
