I somehow ended up in a FB comment section where a mom posted a photo of the mess in her house.

The comments are all along the lines of
"Keeping your house tidy is easy! I enjoy doing it so much! You just have to know where the place of everything is, and you have to put things back in their place every time!"

I think I might have pulled an optical nerve rolling my eyes.

Arrrrrggggh another reason I never read the comments 😆
Just of note, my house wasn't tidy until my kid left the nest - and she was exceptionally messy. It was a fight I wasn't going to have unless it went into biohazard territory.

However, the universe had the last and loudest laugh, as her beloved long time university roommate is a very tidy person and my daughter had to learn how to live with her.

I wonder why there are no photos of my house on here... 🤔
LOL, I totally gave up at about the time my first kid learned to walk and take things off any and all shelves under about waist-height.
omg those people can take a flying leap. i don't even have kids and my house is a clutter nightmare.
Being tidy is literally a teachable skill.
I site every soilder who started out as an entitled 18 year old snot nose kid who's mommy did all the work.
They learn pretty fast.
the neighbors just across the street are friends of mine. We all three have hybrid jobs, so sometimes when we are all at home we meet for lunch. Which house? The one with less mess. We exchange photos to decide. Since they're two and one kid and me I'm one parent and two kids, well, they mostly lose. Also, they have a garden, so we can eat there w/o messing (more) the house :)

Now that I think of it, we should meet in the messiest house and help each other picking up toys.
