Save them for who, Wes?

GPLB: "Streeting tells MPs abolishing NHS England will save hundreds of millions of pounds per year"

#UKPolitics
It's the red £350m bus again, isn't it? No savings will be made but a lot of profit will.
And there'll be just as many dead poor people at the end of it.
There's a long way and a lot of massive hurdles in front of him before he can do that.
Taking their union's line, I imagine. Also, there's no doubt that a lot of Lansley's reforms were terrible for the NHS. I just don't think scrapping it in its entirety is going to be done in the way the medical staff want it to be.
if I try really hard to believe it might be good, I do wonder if it is part of Starmer trying to prevent NHS England from being sold off as a part of the trade deal he wants with Trump.

I don't trust them either though, so I don't know if it will actually be good.

The Lansley reforms were terrible though.

I think *elements* of it might be good on paper, but my gut instinct is that they'll be bungled, and that it's a shortcut to privatisation.
that is very possible. All of these things are execution dependent.
Governments in general don't have a very good track record at the execution part.
they can do it when they want too.
