So Ed Balls claims (this morning on GMB and the Today programme) that you can get diagnosed with anxiety online and then claim benefits for 30 years.

I've got to get myself on this, sounds great.
Pass it on when you get your first payment 👍
Some faceless ghoul on Sky earlier (Alex Morris?) being asked about forcing disabled people back to work: "the answer's in the name, we're called the Labour Party" 🙄 😡
Honestly, I find myself wondering how much worse the Tories could conceivably have been.
It was child poverty last week (again).

Shameful.
Utterly shameful 👍

The UK used to lead the way in Human Rights and we drafted the EHCR Human Rights legislation after WWII! How easily we forget 😡

Where the US goes we have to bloody follow 😡
Only the Good Friday Agreement stops them from leaving the ECHR. As long as the six counties in NI are under British Governance they can’t remove the UK from the ECHR. It’s written into that agreement. I don’t think a ‘notwithstanding’ clause would avoid that either.
The ECHR is hardwired into the Scotland Act.

Unfortunately devolution can be binned by executive fiat and the stroke of a pen.

(Mind you, all hell would break loose.)

Would it though? We'd like to think it would, but I'm not so sure.
The only person I've seen still talking about leaving the ECHR is Chris Philp.
all those who ran to be the leader of the Conservative Party spoke to a greater or lesser extent about the necessity to leave the #ECHR

I am sure they still hold this view

utterly clueless. Starmer’s Labour looks worse, from the outside, than Blair’s, and that’s saying something !
Oh, it's *vastly* worse, partly because the people around Keith are all hideous corporate shills, so there's no corrective to the neoliberal impulses at cabinet level, or even on the back benches. Also, Tony's still pulling strings in the background, and he's a soulless money-grubbing moral vacuum.
Picture of Keith walking down the street in Westminster, on the phone. Text reads: TONY, SHOULD I START A WAR?
Aaaaaand the Prince of Darkness is in DC ...
Making money on both sides of the fence with his consultancy representing Peter Thiel.
Bawhead by nature
🤣 🤣
I'm listening to Here Comes The Guillotine, so I can literally hear that in a Glasgow accent 😁
Yeah, apparently Norman Tebbit's got an advisory role at the DWP.
