I don't like #Putin, of course. He's a mass murderer & war criminal. And has turned european security into a nightmare. Plus lots of other reasons.
So pls. keep that in mind when I say this:
Putin has absolutely outplayed #Trump at every level.
He has shown (with proof) the #Europeans/ #EU that the #USA is clearly no reliable partner for them, will never come to their defense & is willing to pressure them to act against their interests.
This has dimished the #US.

Maybe Stubb said something right during their golf session.
But this is Trump. He thinks whatever the last person he spoke told him.

But I don't know exactly what it is.
Only that, starting with the Ukrainians in Feb., there have been some delegations coming & going to #China.

The adults in the room (the world) will make a just and lasting peace in (for) #Ukraine even without the #USA.
If #Trump has shown anything to everyone than how irrelevant even that mighty country has become if it falls out of line & tries to force its will upon someone against the interests of the other powers.
This already is a #multipolar world. Its just that the rules of that new regime aren't fully formulated yet.
But this is negotiated right now.
