One of my favorite #folklore tidbits:

In many parts of Greece it was believed that vampires can't cross salt water. Because of this, they often buried suspected vampires on desert islands.

Greek vampires also had an affinity for shoemaking.

So... there are probably a bunch of fashion-forward vampire islands in the Mediterranean somewhere 😄 😄

Maybe you'd find also very interesting that NW Greece had and still has a prodigious amount cobbler family shops making high quality shoes.

Somewhat similar to the belief in the US South that evil spirits cannot cross water, so porch ceilings are painted blue-green (the color of water) to keep the evil spirits from coming inside the house.
