Wisdom, the world’s oldest known wild bird, has laid an egg at the extraordinary age of 74. While Laysan albatrosses normally live a monogamous life of 12 to 40 years, Wisdom was tagged in 1956 at the age of five and is thought to have produced more than 30 offspring and outlived three mates.
