The simple, but elegant, pencil tower of New Cathcart Church in Glasgow. Designed by John Bennie Wilson and built in 1907, this stunning and unique little building was turned into residential housing in 2006. As well as being an architect, Wilson was also one of the founders of the 3rd Lanark Athletic Club, one of the first Scottish football teams, and as their striker scored their first ever league goal.
