The magnificent Mitchell Library on North Street in Glasgow. Designed by William B. Whitie in an Edwardian Baroque style and opened in 1911, it has a statue of wisdom over its door, and one of literature on top of its dome. The latter statue is also known as Mrs Mitchell, especially to local kids.

Glasgow's titanium-clad Imax Cinema, part of the Glasgow Science Centre, looking rather like a giant egg laid by some massive mechanical bird. Designed by Building Design Partnership (BDP), it was opened in 1999.

An 1890s building on John Knox Street in Glasgow designed by Campbell Douglas to look like a 16th Century Scottish Tower House. It was originally built as an office and hostel for the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society. It's reputed to be one of the most haunted buildings in Scotland.
