a photo from yesterday just after the height of the eclipse, so the sun looks a bit the wrong shape. it's of some bright, lemon-yellow kale flowers (feature fuzzy bee bum!) looking up at a weirdly shaped sun in an almost clear blue sky. there are some white clouds on the horizon along with the top of a telegraph pole. the flowers look like they're enjoying the eclipse but very much ignoring the advice not to look directly at the sun.

A landscape photo of a view from the leading slope of a ridge between two small river valleys at the point where they join. The gently rounded slope of the ridge is grassy (a rocky crag to my back out of frame) and ringed with trees. The opposite sides of the river valleys are densely wooded with fir plantations. A patch on the right has been felled like matchsticks, during winter storms that were funnelled down the valleys. Some large oaks in the fields below also smashed and splintered. Where the valleys meet a small farm is nestled. Beyond, through the ‘v’ formed, is a view of hills - a patchwork of fields and forest - and more distant mountains. The sky is blue with cotton wool clouds.

Taken during an intense spell of fog, I had spent the first 3hrs of my day exploring the downtown core before heading to work. This image was one of my goals this round of fog - capturing an early morning commuter entering this iconic train stairway with fog filled streets. An atmospheric image styled like a scene from BladeRunner. The lights reflected in the moist concrete, hazy fogged street lamps, and the cool blue of the transit signage adding to the atmosphere.

📷 En esta zona hay un lugar muy popular para ver el atardecer, especialmente entre los aficionados a la fotografía. El lugar es tan popular que algunos días hay tal aglomeración de gente que no hay forma de encontrar un hueco decente donde ponerse. Otros, consigues el sitio ideal pero el atardecer resulta muy aburrido y te vas a casa sin haber disparado el obturador. Sin embargo, de vez en cuando, los hados te sonríen y se puede disfrutar de estampas como la de abajo. Es cuestión de perseverar.
