One of the few remaining big sea turtle sculptures/statues around Jacksonville. Part of a charity project and after a period of time most were removed, much like the Sea Cows and Jaguars. A big, green, happy sea turtle with outstretched upper floggers, standing on hind legs, as if to embrace. Tourists take photos between the flippers. Mostly shades of green, but also colorful seaside images added in bright colors, like a yellow submarine.

No, you're not seeing things. Those really are giant, brightly colored sea turtles standing on street corners all over town. They're part of the Turtle Trails project, a fundraiser for Child Guidan…
