The pump house is a small white concrete building with a roundish roof, a bit like a distorted cartoon igloo. It stands on the side of the main pool with a metal railing fence on both sides. Today the sky behind the pump house is cloudy grey and the water below is a dark grey-green.

At low tide, the natural grey-brown rock platform behind the baths is exposed and a large shallow rock pool appears. The water in the rock pool is clear, showing the mix of sand, seaweed, and rock on its floor. The water surface is corrugated and light refracts through the wrinkles. The ocean breaks several metres further out, sending up small splashes of white.

Looking down steep concrete steps that lead to the ocean baths with views out to the ocean horizon. Both pools are visible with water colours that range from light sand or ice green where the water is shallowest, to blue green and even a swatch of navy. It's busy, with many people clustered around the edges. There are a fair number in the pools as well but still plenty of open water. In the closest, shallow pool, it's more families with toddlers in the water. Sunny day with blue skies all the way.
