Die gleichen Tiere, jetzt in einem Außengehege. Gras gibt es dort derzeit kaum, aber dafür Sonne und viel Platz.

I walked home for lunch and was thoroughly checked out for treats on the way back through the field.

This spottie might have been a pet lamb as it demanded head scritchies, (happy to oblige) sniffed every pocket and tasted my work trousers.

A Dutch Spotted ewe has its nose right up to me, sniffing my coat pockets. It's a brown and white sheep with a spotty look to it's fleece.

I recced my raptor monitoring area today which involved a very nice bimble on local but new-to-me paths. Plenty of buzzards and kites, though I need to work on corvid identification as I’m meant to be looking for ravens too.

Also, lots of sheep…and lambs. Yesterday’s fresh lambs were too far away to photograph today, but I met a very friendly ewe and lambs. She came running for a nose boop (alternatively was hoping for a biscuit).

Sam the #Wiltipoll #ram #lamb came home with me today. He'll settle in for a few weeks before meeting the younger #ewes. Two wether weaner lambs will keep him company until then.

And sheeps!

According to my sheep tote bag (a bag with illustrations of sheep on, not a bag for toting sheep in…unless maybe a small lamb) the first one *might* be a Welsh Hill Speckled Face (I hope so as it’s a good name). I don’t know about the second one as they stubbornly refused to look up from eating so couldn’t see their face and whether woolly or not. If not, possibly a Black Welsh Mountain but that might be wishful thinking.
