back in the 1970s my town planted cherry tree saplings all over the area. Hundreds and hundreds of them and they've grown to become fruitful mature trees of many different variety of cherry. Of course, most people ignore them as they're not prepackaged from a supermarket so the birds will eat most - which is fine - but some of us really enjoy that few weeks when they're fruiting. Wonderful.

Not sure, it's my mom's garden. She calls them yellow cherries.
