It is curious that Pink Floyd have been so influential in Australia (all the cover bands; Tame Impala; Ocean Alley) - but visited so infrequently.

yeah, ‘72 Animals and ‘88 Momentary Lapse. That’s it and the reason I went & spent my $37.50 🤣 It was great to see & hear Richard Wright play.

How was the concert?

It’s the distance, I’m amazed any band comes to Aus. Yet every band that is big enough tours Internationally.

Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets was an enjoyable Tardis-ride back to the 60s and 70s of prog rock. Featured the big set pieces - Echoes, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Atom Heart Mother, the Saucerful of Secrets - and some early Syd Barrett songs. It was about 3/4 full - but the prices were high. $37.50 a ticket sounds pretty good value in 2023!

great sounding set. The next thing closest sound is Brian Jonestown Massacre later this year. One thing I’m noticing, Aus acts are around that ‘88 price. I’ll probably get to see RVG next month for $40.
