The number of journalists killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023 has soared to 188, media office in the blockaded enclave said on Saturday.
While Israeli forces killed on Saturday two journalists in Gaza City, another two targeted earlier were identified by the authorities, the media office said in a statement.

The new fatalities raised the total number of people killed in Israeli attacks in the country since October 2023 to 3,136, with 13,979 others injured, a ministry statement said.
The attacks have forced more than 1 million people to flee their homes, and they are in need of humanitarian aid.

Israeli air strikes on Beirut’s southern suburb Friday night caused severe damage to some buildings at the Lebanese University, state media reported, Anadolu Agency reports.
Some buildings of the faculties and laboratories at the Rafik Hariri campus in the Hadath area sustained extensive damage, National News Agency said on Saturday.

The Wafa news agency is reporting that at least 33 people were killed and that 13 of the victims were children.
The bombing of the Alloush family home, which was packed with residents and displaced people, resulted in “the complete destruction” of the building.

Die UN-Erhebung beschränkt sich auf die ersten sieben Monate des seit über 13 Monaten andauernden Kriegs. In dieser Zeit waren 44 Prozent der Todesopfer Kinder. Das jüngste Opfer war ein Baby, das einen Tag nach seiner Geburt getötet wurde, das älteste eine 97 Jahre alte Frau. "
