মধ্যপ্রাচ্য জুড়ে আরব বসন্ত শুরু হওয়ার পর পতন হয়েছে একের পর এক স্বৈর-শাসকের। গোটা আরব অঞ্চল জুড়ে অনেক স্বৈরশাসকের পতন ঘটলেও পতন ঘটানো যাচ্ছিলো না সিরিয়ার বাশার আল আসাদের। রুশ সমর্থন পেয়ে কোনোমতে ঠেকিয়ে রেখেছিলেন সবকিছু। অবশেষে তারও পতন ঘটলো। তাতে যদিও দীর্ঘ এক দশকের ওপর গৃহযুদ্ধের শেষ হবে কিনা সন্দেহ। এখনো পর্যন্ত তথাকথিত আরব বসন্তের পর বলার মতো শান্তি আসেনি আরব দেশগুলোতে। বরং এসব দেশে যুদ্ধ বিগ্রহ থেকে শুরু করে অস্থিরতা আর অস্থিতিশীলতা আরও বেড়েছে। সেই ধারাবাহিকতায় সিরিয়াতে অব্যাহত যে থাকবে না তা বলা যাচ্ছেনা।
সিরিয়ার গৃহযুদ্ধের পটভূমি অবশ্য একটু অন্যরকম। এখানে এক বিশাল জিও-পলিটিক্যাল গেইম বা ভূ-রাজনীতির খেলা থেকেই যুদ্ধের শুরু। যার সাথে একদিক দিয়ে আবার সম্পর্ক আছে ইউক্রেন যুদ্ধেরও।
কেমন করে?
খোলাসা করি ব্যাপারটা।
প্রথমে বিশ্ব মানচিত্রের ওপর চোখ বুলিয়ে নিন। তারপর শুনুন।
ইউরোপ তার তেল গ্যাস আমদানির ব্যাপারে দীর্ঘদিন থেকেই রাশিয়ার ওপর নির্ভরশীল। এই নির্ভরশীলতা কমানোর জন্য ন্যাটোভুক্ত দেশগুলো বিশেষত এই জোটের পশ্চিম ইউরোপীয় দেশগুলো চেয়েছিল মধ্যপ্রাচ্য থেকে ইউরোপে তেল-গ্যাসের পাইপলাইন বানাতে। এটা করতে গিয়ে তারা সিরিয়ার সাথে চুক্তি করতে চেয়ে চেয়েছিল যাতে সিরিয়ার ওপর দিয়ে এই ইউরোপমুখী তেল গ্যাস পাইপ লাইনের একটা অংশ যেতে পারে । তাতে অন্যান্য দেশ সমর্থন দিলেও সমর্থন দেয়নি রুশপন্থী বাশার আল আসাদ। এদিকে সিরিয়ার ক্ষমতার মসনদে মূলত শিয়া সম্প্রদায় (আসাদ যাদের প্রতিনিধি) এবং এরা মূলত ইরানের সাথে সুসম্পর্ক রাখে। ইরান চায়নি আসাদ সরকার পশ্চিমাদের কথা মেনে নিক। আবার রাশিয়াও চায়নি এই তেল গ্যাস পাইপ লাইন হোক। কারণ তাতে করে রাশিয়ার ওপর ইউরোপের তেল গ্যাস নির্ভরশীলতা অনেকাংশে কমে আসবে। আর তাছাড়া সিরিয়াতে রাশিয়ার নৌ-বহর আছে। যে কারণে আসাদ সরকার পশ্চিমাদের প্রস্তাবে কোনোভাবেই সাড়া দেয়নি।
ব্যাস, এতেই ক্ষেপে আগুন ন্যাটো জোট। তাদের ইন্টালিজেন্স এর সহায়তায় তৈরি হওয়া দুই গোষ্ঠী সিরিয় বিদ্রোহী গ্রুপ আর তাদের দোসর “আই এস” আচ্ছাসে ঠেসে ধরে বাশার আল আসাদকে। চরমে পৌঁছায় সিরিয়ার গৃহযুদ্ধ। বাশারের পতন ঠ্যাকাতে রাশিয়া এগিয়ে আসে। রাশিয়ার সেবারের আক্রমনে আই এস আর বিদ্রোহীদের হঠিয়ে কোনোমতে টিকে যায় আসাদ সরকার। এর মাঝেই ঘটে আরেক বিপত্তি। সিরিয়াকে নানাভাবে সহায়তা করা আর আসাদকে চাঙ্গা রাখা ইরানের মাস্তারমাইন্ড কমান্ডার কাশেম সোলাইমানী নিহত হলে চাপ বেড়ে যায় আসাদের ওপর। যদিও পুতিনের সহায়তা অব্যাহত ছিল।
কিন্তু এর মাঝেই জবরদস্ত আরেক চাল চেলে বসে ন্যাটো। ইউক্রেনে তাদের পক্ষের লোক জেলেন্সকিকে ক্ষমতায় বসিয়ে রাশিয়াকে উস্কানি দিয়ে বাঁধিয়ে দেয় রুশ-ইউক্রেন যুদ্ধ। প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেখযোগ্য রাশিয়া থেকে যে তেল গ্যাস পাইপ লাইন ইউরোপে গেছে তার প্রায় পুরোটাই গেছে এই ইউক্রেন দিয়ে। ন্যাটো চাচ্ছিল ইউক্রেনে নিজেদের পক্ষের লোক ক্ষমতায় রেখে রাশিয়ার তেল গ্যাস পাইপ লাইনের ওপর তাদের একচ্ছত্র নিয়ন্ত্রণ নিতে। রাশিয়া খুব স্বাভাবিকভাবেই সেটা মেনে নেয়নি। এটারই পরিণতিতে শুরু হয় রুশ ইউক্রেন যুদ্ধ (যদিও আরও কিছু কারণ আছে, কিন্তু এটা হচ্ছে আসল)। অর্থাৎ, যে করেই হোক ইউক্রেন হয়ে আসা রাশিয়ার তেল গ্যাসের পাইপ লাইনের ওপর কর্তৃত্ব ন্যাটোর নিতেই হবে।
এই নিয়ে নিষ্ঠুর এক খেলা চলছে বিগত কয়েক বছর ধরে।
রাশিয়া এখন নিজের ঘর সামলাতেই ব্যস্ত। আর কতো সাহায্য করবে সিরিয়াকে!!
সুতরাং, যা হওয়ার তাই হয়েছে।
আসাদ আর টিকে থাকতে পারেনি।
নির্মম এই সাম্রাজ্যবাদী খেলায় হেরে গিয়ে উড়ে গেছেন মিত্র রাশিয়ার কাছেই।
ইতিমধ্যে মৃত্যু ঘটেছে ৫ লক্ষেরও বেশী সিরীয়র।
সেবার ছিল ইসলামিক ষ্টেটস বা আই এস।
আর এবার এইচ টি এস।
নতুন গ্রুপের আগমন।
সিরিয়া তারপরও শান্ত হবে কি না তাতে প্রবল সন্দেহ।
কারণ, কলকাঠি তাদের হাতে নেই।
আছে ন্যাটোর হাতে।
