#startrek31daychallenge Day 2 - Who's your Captain?

Star Trek has many great Captains, which makes this decision a tough one. I could speak at length about what Sisko means to me and how beautiful his relationship with Jake is, or how much I vibe with Janeway, or how effortlessly cool Pike is in Strange New Worlds.

But I started watching Trek when I was 11 years old, and Picard became a father figure to me. At a time when my life seemed nothing but chaotic, here was this guy approaching everything with calm discipline, showing strength where necessary, taking care of his crew, and doing the right thing.

It's an example I still strive to live up to today. I'm working on the whole discipline thing, but I excel in the areas of Earl Grey drinking and baldness.
