I couldn't resist trying to use two different colors in this pattern, to possible add more texture to it. Turned out well enough for me to try on watercolor paper.

Here's an in-progress shot.

Hand drawn generative/procedural art in ink on an open page of my sketchbook. The abstract pattern looks a bit like a bunch of flowers.

Legs joined and torso started! Starting to feel excited. By no means perfect, but I'm telling myself it doesn't matter since it will be covered in fabric.

#crochet #wipwednesday #amigurumi
An image of semi-realistic crocheted legs and part of the torso for an amigurumi doll. They're made out of thin beige yarn. The image also features a small crochet hook and scissors.

Day 6 #ArtAdventCalendar • It's also #WIPwednesday today, so here is my current work-in-progress, a vagus nerve. The first photo is of the piece all washed and ironed after washing out the sulky. The second is the next part I’m stitching. #SciArt #anatomy #embroidery
An image of an old engraving of a vagus nerve is embroidered on sulky green cotton. The embroidery of the main nerve lines is done in blue chain stitch in perlé cotton. The brain and some of the face is stitched in the same thread in backstitch. Details in the face are stitched in single strand floss.
The upper chest area of a vagus nerve is stitched in blue chain stitch on green cotton is in an embroidery hoop. An anatomical heart has been sketched in thin white chalk and the outline is being stitched in two strand red back stitch. A needle minder in the shape of an hourglass that reads, "This is taking forever," sits near the stitches holding a needle.
