did you have a productive day in the garden?
The wind meant that I mostly got soil and seeds in my eyes in the morning, then spent the afternoon spitting out dusty bits of dead clematis when I tried to hide under the pergola in the afternoon, so ... no 🤣
How was your day?

it has been a bit breezy!

Work has been. I went for a wander down to see the sheep and lambs at lunchtime. That was nice 😊.
Sheep therapy! Lush.
I tried luring the birds with mealworms again, but they were *not* having it 🙄
I’m going to head over at feeding time tomorrow after work. Apparently it’s hilarious.

There were little ones in the field next to the house for a while but also a fox 😔. So the wee ones are closer to the farmhouse and we’ll be getting some slightly bigger ones.

We’re out of peanuts so the fat balls are getting it atm. Oh and a squirrel took another magnolia bud 😡
😭 🐑
The squirrels around here have been ominously quiet lately but there are so many bees and butterflies! My tulips should be flowering in the next few days too 🥰
Have fun at feeding time! What's next on your planting schedule?
oh yes I saw lots of orange tip butterflies today.

I need to sow spinach and salad. I’ve also got a philadelphus languishing in a pot. Must get that out. And forever tidying!
Blimey, spinach! I forgot to get seeds 😱
I've got two different varieties of senetti arriving tomorrow but where to dig the holes? 🤣
Edit: I have now bought seeds.
Of course I bought a few more packets of flower seeds too, because special offer and it's rude not to.

I really miss Wilkos. I'd have been down there getting bulbs and seeds for the pots in the back garden, without breaking the bank, walking distance from home.
IKR? I loved that shop. I got literally everything from garden tools to lightbulbs to art supplies and toothpaste from there. We had a massive one right by the bus stop in town.
I think we think of something at least once a month that we would have gone to Wilko's for, and whenever we went we never only bought the thing we went in for.

*sigh*
Because the little buses here are relatively infrequent, it was the shop everyone went to to pass the time, rather than stand at the bus stop, or to hide from the rain. I could accidentally spend fortunes in there!
