Solstice postcards should be a thing. I bet people who celebrate Yule/Solstice/Saturnalia get a lot fewer festive postcards...

A special Garden Grimoire for those spirits that flourish with the flora. 💚

It's been a long day, but I'm so amused by designing these. A friend of mine who loves to draw and sketch plants requested this design. I can't wait to stalk her and take pictures as she's huddled in an awkward position in the garden to do her sketches in style. 😎

The moment when an acquaintance asks me "do you have rituals?"

And I realize way too late that they meant daily habits...

😅 😶

Philostratus keeps on giving:

A huge part of the book is about Palamedes, the Greek hero who got himself completely written out of the Iliad.
For dissing Odysseus too much.

No wonder Odysseus was pissed, there are some great one-liners in there :D

Oh, and the guy invented writing, numbers, and dice. In case you needed a #pagan patron of #DnD players.

This solstice marks a year since I decided to explore (a very personal form of) paganism. It has been a soft, welcome change in my life, and also quite a journey. It is a challenge to find my own way with a traditional Catholic upbringing behind me and a very skeptical archeologist mind. But a lot of things have fallen into place and I love that.

Today it made me happy to find ivy for solstice decorations. It's the little things. 😊

Antoninus Liberalis also mentions that on Crete people worshiped Leto the Grafter, a goddess who changed a woman into a man by "grafting organs on him". Just saying.
