For qualifying individuals impacted by the Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, Woodley, and Linda fires, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has waived the fees for those who have lost their driver's license, ID card, vehicle registration, or title. Sticker replacements can now be requested at no cost.

"Along with crews from other states and Mexico, hundreds of inmates from California’s prison system were also helping firefighting efforts. Nearly 950 incarcerated firefighters were dispatched “to cut fire lines and remove fuel to slow fire spread,” according to an update from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Though the state has long relied on prison labor to fight fires, the practice is controversial as the inmates are paid little for dangerous and difficult work. Inmates are paid up to roughly $10.24 each day, with additional money for 24-hour shifts, according to the corrections department."

Evacuation orders have been downgraded to now be evacuation Warnings in Zones: ARC-001, SMD-E001, SMD-E002, SMD-E003, SMD-E004, SMD-E005, SMD-E006, SMD-E007, SMD-E008, SMD-E009, SMD-E010, SMD-E011, SMD-E012, SMD-E013, SMD-E014, SMD-E015, SMD-E016, SMD-E019
Evacuations have been lifted from ARC-002 and ARC-004.
To view the Zone changes, see the Watch Duty Map or Genasys Protect.
Additionally, Zone ALD-GARFIAS has been downgraded from an order to now be a warning per Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, though this update has not yet been reflected in Genasys Protect.
