Pack and Raft.

A rather simple trip that involved 7km walking with boat shoes on tarmac. I really expected soft forrest trails here but I had to work with whats there :D After a lunch break with some cold nutritious powder in filtered water I made the jump to inflate the boat and transition into the river to head back to the start through some wilder sections with a little white water.

More of a sad sight than usual. An entire estate full of 3 and 4 bed homes, left to ruin for the past four years. My visit was cut a little short by local kids trying to demolish what was left.

One thing we know for sure: building and widening highways always succeeds in helping sell more cars, gas and suburban sprawl; burning more public budgets; and increasing GHG emissions. So if those are your goals, it’s the perfect thing to do.

Just don’t expect it to reduce traffic.
