New favorite #FolktaleMoment form Iran:

A princess really wants a pet donkey but her father refuses. Her magical aunt finds a way to convince the father (with some clever spells) to allow the donkey anyway.

When princess kisses the donkey on the nose, it turns into a handsome prince. Turns out he had been cursed.

In return for saving him, the princess asks the prince to buy her a new donkey.

much love for the princess! And the donkey. 🙂
Perfect choice for a life without even more patriarchy for the princess. :)
So i guess she didn't like the prince enough and want's another shot at it?

Or what if not the donkey was cursed but her? You know, like Midas. So every donkey she kisses turns into a prince. I mean, from what i heard she only tried one donkey so far, so she needs another one to prove the theory.
Solid choice. Donkeys are cool.
Princes come and go, but donkeys are forever! :)
i would have asked my magical aunt to directly give me a donkey.
I like this surprising twist to a truly happy ending.
"I don't want a prince, I want a donkey! I didn't go through all this trouble for the wrong ass" 😂
Love this
And yet she persisted!

Perfect story for the #asstodon crowd!
Wow, what the hell. There's asstondon? How many surprising communities are there

@TarkabarkaHolgy
I have seen pictures of donkeys marked with #asstodon. It improves my timeline, like #mosstodon (macro photography of mosses), #lichensubscribe (same for lichen). Above hashtags are less obvious than #birdphotography or all the ones with cats. Some others I can never remember, like the Welsh hashtag that is used for pictures of sheep.
And, yes, there are many surprising communities here.
I love all of them :)
it's the least he could do !
I wonder how long he had been cursed. Would be still have royal connections and the capacity to grant that wish? Maybe he should get her two donkeys on case on of them is just another cursed prince.
