❝
Opinions change not because people can be convinced with sound rational arguments, but because those holding old opinions eventually die.
❞
Maybe I'm not an average guy, but in my life I've changed my mind on multiple subjects. And I'm not ashamed of it - on the contrary. I'm a human; I don't know everything there is to know (partially because info is withheld from me, but also because of 24x7 and/or not having my curiousness triggered).
For example, I changed my opinion about IT-matters a number of times. I like debates with multiple points of view, in particular when based on obvious facts.
On Oct. 7 2023, my gut feeling told me that the attack by Hamas did not occur "in a vacuum". However, at the time the first association with Palestinians that would come up in my mind, was terrorism. "Of course" Jews had the right to their own state.
I have always been too busy with ICT and infosec to dive into such topics, but now I felt the need to spend more time on learning why that attack took place.
I've read a lot. Including some of Mihai's writings, such as https://www.mihai.nl/internationaal-recht/de-vvd-laat-zich-ringeloren-door-de-israel-lobby/ (from 2016), which provided new insights I was not aware about.
We should not be so ashamed to change our minds based on facts we learn. Of course it is important to at least double check what you read before jumping to conclusions.
However, i.r.t. to Gaza, the Westbank,Lebanon, Syria and Jemen, the evidence of warcrimes committed by Israeli soldiers is overwhelming, while Israeli representatives and supporters keep lying.
Note: I'm not stating that all Arabs are good people: some are insane idiots who also commit warcrimes or other cruelties to, often called, "inncocent people" (it depends, but the younger a child, the more innocent it is).
Anyway, my govermnent treats Israel as an ally that needs our unconditional support. That is why I feel the need to raise my voice - more than i.r.t. other unimaginable suffering (such as in Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine etc).
Most Israeli's do not want to integrate with Arabs; they want them to be silent slaves, migrate to other countries or die. And their desired map is still incomplete.
If Israel *really* is the most democratic country in the Middle East (like, among others, Ronald Plasterk argues, see https://infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStraten/113702504098264750), then the *majority* of Jews are inhumane and/or look away from the truth (in contrast to many Russian citizens, Israeli's *have* access to less biased media - such as Haaretz and foreign news agencies).
If a majority of Jews in Israel hates (oppresses, discriminates, rapes, tortures, kills) Arabs, then, IMO, not a single Jew has the right to occupy land in the Middle East.
And I may change my mind even further.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad Urges Unity and Rejects Conflict Amid PA’s Jenin Repressive Campaign
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Movement confirmed on Saturday that it “will not be drawn into internal strife,” despite the security campaign being carried out by Palestinian Authority (PA) forces in the Jenin refugee camp.
In this context, the PIJ called on the Fatah movement to refocus on national unity, urging the PA to immediately halt its security and media campaigns and lift the siege on the Jenin camp.
In a statement, the PIJ emphasized that it has been subjected to a systematic media campaign since the start of the PA’s security operations in Jenin, aimed at tarnishing its path, “casting doubt on its national affiliation, and disregarding its noble history and sacrifices.” The campaign has even targeted the movement’s leaders and symbols personally.
The statement also mentioned that the Jenin Brigade has endured a “ferocious campaign of arrests, pursuits, and weapons fire, alongside a media and security siege aimed at breaking its resolve,” with the goal of provoking internal conflict.
The statement further clarified that this “serves only the Zionist occupation, which seeks to incite division and portray the Palestinian people as engaged in internal fighting, to push its narrative and justify its crimes against Gaza.”
Preventing bloodshed
Despite these provocations, PIJ “reaffirms its commitment to avoiding internal discord, adhering to its principles, safeguarding the blood of the Palestinian people, and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners.” The movement stated that it is fully aware these provocations aim to drag it into an internal conflict, which it will not engage in.
The movement also explained that from the outset, it has put forward multiple initiatives and mediations to spare the people from the horrors of division and prevent bloodshed. However, all such efforts were thwarted, and all doors for peaceful solutions were closed, despite the movement’s determination to prioritize wisdom.
As a result, the movement warned that the situation has taken a dangerous turn with the increasing campaigns of repression and mistreatment by the PA’s forces against citizens who express opposition to division. It stressed that these actions, which aim to silence voices calling for wisdom and restraint, “constitute a blatant violation of freedom of expression and contradict the sanctity of preserving Palestinian blood.”
In this regard, the movement appealed to national leaders and figures from various political and social factions to play their role in preserving Palestinian blood and working toward a solution that defends Palestinian unity.
Addressing the Palestinian people, the movement reiterated its firm commitment to preserving national unity and its resolute rejection of all forms of division, which only serve the occupation.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the movement “has offered its finest leaders and members in loyalty to the path of Resistance,” affirming its commitment to its weapons and Resistance until Palestine is liberated.
Al-Quds Brigades target Zionists in Nablus, Jenin amid West Bank incursions
In parallel, the occupation continued their storming of the West Bank this week.
The al-Quds Brigades in Nablus, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, announced that it targeted occupation forces who invaded the city of Nablus and the Askar camp on Friday morning.
In a statement, the group said it attacked the Zionist occupation’s military vehicles in the Roujeib area with heavy gunfire, confirming direct hits.
Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigade – Jenin Battalion, reported that its members from the engineering unit successfully detonated several anti-personnel and anti-vehicle explosives, targeting invading infantry soldiers and their vehicles.
Additionally, a young man was injured and three others were detained during the occupation’s invasion of the Askar al-Jadid camp, east of Nablus, and several neighborhoods in the city.
Sources from the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 20-year-old man was shot in the hand with live ammunition in the Askar al-Jadid camp and was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
According to journalistic sources, Zionist military jeeps and vehicles stormed the Askar al-Jadid camp, firing live bullets, sonic grenades, and smoke grenades, which resulted in the young man’s injury. All entrances to the camp were closed, and medical teams and Civil Defense personnel were prevented from entering.
Zionist military vehicles also raided several neighborhoods in the city, as well as the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, searching homes and causing damage.
Furthermore, occupation forces stormed the town of al-Khader, south of Beit Lahm, on Friday, positioning themselves in areas such as Baloua, the Grand Mosque, and the Gate, where they fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
The West Bank has been experiencing daily clashes, particularly since the onset of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, with towns and cities subjected to constant invasions, large-scale arrest campaigns, and casualties among those resisting occupation forces.

PFLP Mourns the Martyrs of Tulkarm, Vows Response
The Popular Front mourns the martyrs of Tulkarm and confirms that their pure blood will not be in vain and the resistance will respond in kind
• The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine mourns the martyrs of Tulkarm camp who were killed as a result of the ongoing Zionist aggression, stressing that this pure blood will not be in vain.
• The resistance’s rapid response to this crime by blowing up a military vehicle belonging to the occupation forces, which resulted in the commander of the West Bank Division and the commander of the “Menashe” Brigade being seriously injured, is a qualitative act that demonstrates the resistance’s ability to deter the occupation and the development of its qualitative capabilities, which proves the failure of the enemy’s bets on breaking the will of our people or eliminating their resistance.
• This heroic act clearly shows that the Palestinian resistance is resistant to defeat or subjugation, and will remain the protective shield for our people in the face of the occupation’s attacks and systematic military campaigns, no matter how much collusion there is from some of the defeated.
• The Front calls on the masses of our people and the resistance factions to strengthen the state of rallying around the resistance option, as it is the comprehensive national and popular option and the best way to protect our people, respond to the crimes of the occupation, and thwart its plans.

In 2018, 7amleh, a Palestinian digital rights organization, published a report on mapping tools that accused Google of allegedly making design choices in its app that disadvantaged Palestinians and helped legitimize the Israeli government’s views of the contested territory.
“Google Maps, as the largest global mapping and route planning service, has the power to influence global public opinion and therefore bears the responsibility to abide by international human rights standards and to offer a service that reflects the Palestinian reality,” the report said.
Because online maps have become a primary way that billions of people understand the world around them, how tech companies like Google depict and label politically sensitive areas and territories regularly generates public backlash and philosophical debate. Some countries, including the US, India, and China, have imposed specific requirements on mapping providers over the years. But the issues in the West Bank center on a specific feature—navigation—that historically hasn’t drawn as much attention but, now as much as ever, poses real safety fears for users."

Those toots rightfully make viewers feel very sorry for what happened to those victims of WWII. Often they believe that they're doing everyone a favor by boosting such toots.
However, the real intention of the stream of sad stories, usualy with pictures, is to distract viewers from the genocide that is taking place *TODAY*. Thereby shamelessly abusing victims of the Holocaust.
🇮🇱 By boosting, you help Netanyahu and the Israeli Defence (Occupation) Forces.
As an example, Avner Shalev - Auschwitz Deputy Chairman (https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/iac-members/avner-shalev/), a long-time IDF soldier, wrote in https://www.yadvashem.org/about/former-chairmen/avner-shalev/if-everything-is-genocide.html (in2008, see also https://www.haaretz.com/2008-05-02/ty-article/if-everything-is-genocide/0000017f-e0e7-df7c-a5ff-e2ffcedb0000):
❝
Recently, yet another Hamas spokesperson compared the situation in Gaza to events during the Holocaust.
[...]
Language has power. The words we choose to use carry weight, and are meaningful. If we elect to label every event a "genocide," or equate every event with the Holocaust, then we detract from the real meaning of those words and reduce their ability to represent true horror.
Subsequently, when faced with a real incident of genocidal murder, people will be less likely ot [sic] be moved to act. If everything is genocide, nothing is genocide.
❞
The world is now faced with extensive proof of "a real incident of genocidal murder", as pointed out by numerous well-known organizations (including the ICJ and ICC, Amnesty International, Human Right Watch, Medicins sans Frontiers etc).
And notably the Auschwitz Memorial keeps denying it (see their unconditional pro-Israel statement here: https://infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStraten/113696541911571675, or at the second half of https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/).
Instead, the Auschwitz Memorial wants us to believe that "never again" does not apply to Palestinians or other Arabs. This is an utter disgrace.
Notes:
• I block anyone who follows me when they boost a toot by the Auschwitz Memorial/Museum.
• My grandfather was a Jew who barely survived WWII. His family was murdered by Nazis.
