I've always been curious about these Sony lens cameras. This has the potential to be a great street photography camera. In 2011, I had a Kodak one that was much less capable. I found this Sony QX-10 for $65, so I bought it. It came today.

Once in a lifetime photo.

Towards the end of a fabulous auroral display, a meteor streaked through my shot.
I was literally dancing with joy!

A strong auroral display beginning to break up, creating a swirling mass of green loops and spikes in the lower two-thirds of the shot. Above them, the stars are visible, in particular Ursa Major the Plough (Big Dipper) in the top left. The foreground is a silhouette of gentle hills, some trees are visible on the skyline which give scale. Near the centre of the shot, travelling from upper right to lower left, a sputtering fireball is streaking through.
