There's a form of externalization that happens where people argue that "#unions are good but I could never organize my workplace, my coworkers are too <x> and we would get <y> ramifications."

But that's not different from anywhere else

There are strategies for that. There is a wealth of experience.

Instead it often seems like a way to deflect responsibility.
