Zum morgigen Start der Koalitionsverhandlungen zwischen Union und SPD appelliert Attac in einem breiten zivilgesellschaftlichen Bündnis mit einem offenen Brief an die SPD-Spitze, eine Vermögenssteuer für Superreiche durchzusetzen. Unterzeichner*innen des Briefs sind 16 Organisationen, darunter Sozial- und Wohlfahrtsverbände, Umweltorganisationen, Gewerkschaften und zivilgesellschaftliche Initiativen. Denn das Sondierungspapier ist geprägt von einem Geist der Entsolidarisierung: Sanktionen bei der Grundsicherung, Aufweichung des Arbeitsschutzes und Repression gegen geflüchtete Menschen. Stattdessen sollte sich die SPD an ihr Versprechen der Steuergerechtigkeit erinnern. Eine Vermögenssteuer ist dringend notwendig, um demokratiegefährdenden und klimaschädlichen Überreichtum nicht noch weiter anwachsen zu lassen!
