This is really a nice new (for me) feature of #Mastodon, the Author Attribution. I set it up on my blog after I got my new instance up and only just noticed what it did with my new post about Mission: Impossible.

To set it up, you'll add a meta tag to your HTML for content that you're generating. The information can be found on your Mastodon preferences here:

Public Profile -> Verification -> Author attribution

#blog #content #author
A screenshot showing the Author Attribution at the bottom of a preview card for one of my posts. There's an orange arrow pointing to my name.

PSA: If you're finding the news hard to handle right now, you can use Mastodon's filtering features to hide content that includes certain keywords or phrases. Navigate to the Preferences section on your profile and then select "Filters" and "Add New Filter." You can also control what you see on Flipboard — here's a quick guide to how our For You feed works and what you can do to tune it.
