Wisconsin residents are receiving text messages from a (202) D.C. area code, falsely urging them not to vote in the upcoming election. These messages are not legitimate. Here is the last version of the text used in the presidential election: ‘WARNING: Violating WI Statutes 12.13 & 6.18 may result in fines up to $10,000 or 3.5 years in prison. Don’t vote in a state where you’re not eligible.’ Similar messages are circulating again now. These are scare tactics and are not legal in the United States. We’d like to request that these texts be investigated. We encourage all Americans to make their voices heard—your vote counts!

NEW YORK (AP) — "President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a sweeping executive action to overhaul elections in the U.S., including requiring documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and demanding that all ballots be received by Election Day.
"The order says the U.S. has failed 'to enforce basic and necessary election protections' and calls on states to work with federal agencies to share voter lists and prosecute election crimes. It threatens to pull federal funding from states where election officials don’t comply."

You are not waiting for ‘the one’ who is absolutely perfect. You are getting the bus. And if there isn’t one going exactly to your destination, you don’t stay at home … you take the one going closest to where you want to be.
You don't ask what the packages are the bus driver keeps dropping in quarters of the town you couldn't even find on a map. You don't ask why hospitals, kindergartens and mosques explode, only seconds after the ride goes on, with everybody still inside of the buildings.
When you see other passengers vowing they'll never take that bus again, you remind them of their real destination, which is the shopping center, and that the bus driver feels absolutely miserable about "whats going on". If they persist, you point your fingers at them and scream "antisemitism", or "the seats for non-whites are in the back."
Voting isn’t marriage – it’s public transport.

Involved an absolutely convoluted multiple station process inside of a town hall. Plenty of chatter echoes, and random applause at first time voters. Kiddo and I were both near meltdown. Had to break out the "special needs" card for them a few times because they were unable to keep still and had to run around. Folks were accommodating once they realized what a struggle it was for us three.
I'm convinced absentee ballots should be, if not made widely available without requirement, at least legally allowed for anyone neurodivergent or anyone parenting someone neurodivergent. Without question. Should be considered accomodation. Having to follow a long snaking line and act in a certain manner is not something everyone can do.
