in the last year, the HMRC investigated 268 Code of Practice 9 cases in 2023-4.... which is down from 669 investigated in 2018-19.... now you might conclude there is much less serious tax fraud taking place, or (perhaps) the HMRC is losing interest in complex & difficult to investigate cases when they can get quicker results investigating individuals who have less effective (or indeed no) legal representation.

Or of course the HMRC was 'called off' by the previous Govt.?

The idea to post them mostly trickled down from HR, followed by senior management and executives, their June 2024 article continued. Evidence suggests this trend is taking hold throughout the Bay Area, too.
