Statt Politfrust heute Optimismus getankt.

Es heißt "Chairman Mao’s Long Journey, Washington, 2020"

Keine Ahnung, warum mir das ausgerechnet heute wieder eingefallen ist...

Continuing to share favourite images from my 30+ year photographic career, and currently looking at a favourite project; ‘The Magic of the Scottish Islands’, 2000 and 2001. This is Village Bay on Hirta, the principal island of St Kilda. The hillside is littered with cleits, stone storage shelters unique to St Kilda.

The start of the inspirational Calum’s Road, built in ten years by one man across two miles of forbidding terrain to give access to the north end of the island of Raasay. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/raasay/calumsroad/index.html

The start of the inspirational Calum’s Road. The image shows a curving single track road climbing a hillside covered in small trees in sunshine. The ground slopes away to the right. There's a road sign in the left foreground saying in English and Gaelic that this is Calum's Road. The rusted remains of a wheelbarrow are on the ground at the foot of the roadsign.

Why would Russia allow British trawlers into their waters considering how much cash & weapons the UK sends Ukraine. I'm surprised they didn't ban them before.
I saw on Reddit a reference to the Guardian that Britain has a shortage of medicines because of the war in Ukraine, i.e. Russia is allegedly to blame for the shortage. There is an expression: "If you have been wronged undeservedly, you have to come back and deserve it".
