abridged FB post by Dustin West Mar 27 - 6:28 PM I was just detained & my dog was assaulted by plainclothed ICE agents, along with undercover members of the NYPD, while trying to intervene in an abduction on my block. They refused to id themselves, were masked, produced no warrant, & had an unmarked van. They snatched a family walking their kids home from school off the street & then kicked my dog & cuffed me & my neighbors for asking questions. They illegally went through my phone, violated multiple Constitutional rights & then sped off with a family & screaming kids in the back of a van to God knows where. If this can happen on a corner in Harlem at 5:30 in the pm, we are in big trouble guys. Protect yourselves & your neighbors any way you know how. I am heartbroken, enraged & disgusted at what my country has become & if you don’t feel the same, you aren’t paying attention or you are part of the problem. Black & brown people in this country have been subjected to this type of violence & lawlessness for centuries. The fact the oppressors in power are now willing to also inflict it against a white man of privilege in broad daylight, in the supposed bastion of progressive values that is NYC, only shows how brazen they have become & how dangerous it is for everyone not as privileged as me. White people MUST stand in the way of fascism at every turn. We MUST put our bodies & our privilege on the line. We MUST be wrenches in the gears of this horrible machine we helped create.

On the 29th of March, protesters showed up at the infamous Kamp Krome concentration camp in Miami, FL. The various stormtroopers protecting this hellhole were apparently very displeased to see protesters. They even brought out an armored vehicle but protesters stood their ground. Although these armored vehicles are widely referred to as tanks, this is an MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle) rather than a tank.

Kamp Krome is an ICE detention facility packed to over 4,000 people in a capacity rated for a few hundred. At least three people have died at Kamp Krome, food and even WATER are scarce for detainees there.
