Walking down the ever dodgy steps at the back of the Wellgate Centre, Dundee, I happened to glance back.

New street art since the last time I was there! I believe this is by Pamie Bennett. Murals first started appearing here about 4 years ago, by a community group working on a project called Positive Challenges, inspiring, cheerful bit of street art popped up at the steps. I didn't get any photos of the rest of it.

Anyone that knows Dundee, knows how dismal the Wellgate Shopping Centre is (although it does have some good things going on - like a thriving library and a lot of small community support shops and services), the stairs out the back are bleak though, so I love this art decorating the space.

Dundee has a lot of talented folk. I am looking at the positives of the city here 😉

Streetart. The artist "Frankey" has created a fun installation on a tree in a green space in Amsterdam. The tree is a cut trunk from which thin branches sprout wildly. The "installation" consists of two large googly eyes, a thick orange nose and a mouth with the corners of the mouth pulled down. Together, this makes a face with wild hair, i.e. the silly-looking "Beaker" from the Muppets show. He is the shy, long-suffering assistant to Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and is also named after a piece of laboratory equipment. His trademark is an excited "mee-mee-mee" instead of a language. Info: Frankey is Frank de Ruwe who currently lives and works in Amsterdam. Where, if you look closely, you can discover his works in an unexpected places throughout the city. Frankey manages to give passers-by an instant smile from ear to ear time after time. "Pretty cool, right?", He says himself.

One of the few remaining big sea turtle sculptures/statues around Jacksonville. Part of a charity project and after a period of time most were removed, much like the Sea Cows and Jaguars. A big, green, happy sea turtle with outstretched upper floggers, standing on hind legs, as if to embrace. Tourists take photos between the flippers. Mostly shades of green, but also colorful seaside images added in bright colors, like a yellow submarine.
