In my off season this past fall, I decided to go to Kauai and go backpacking all over the island. Coming from Alaska it was quite pleasant to wear shorts constantly and have good fresh fruit everywhere you went. While I was camping on the west side of the island I decided to pull the camera out and get some Milky Way shots. What I totally forgot about was the #comet C/2023 A3 passing by our planet.

The hooting and hollering that I made when I first looked at the image could be heard for miles.

The upper part of the cloud is lit up from the moon rising behind the island creating a very pleasing image.
I am shooting this on a #sony A7iii with a 20mm f1.8 lens. 30” exposure, iso 1250

Chuck your poop bag in the rubbish, to break and spill? And you just know half of the users will throw it into the scrub; same as people happily crap behind a tree and leave it there now.

Ich habe mal eine Frage an die Reisemenschen unter euch.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit per Autofähre von Schweden, Norwegen oder Dänemark, nach UK zu schippern.

Ich war mir sicher, das es da mal eine Fährverbindung Dänemark UK gab, aber ich finde in der Richtung gar nichts mehr.

Für unseren Urlaub hat sich noch etwas getan und wir prüfen gerade, wie wir von Südschweden nach UK kommen können.

Die beste Frau von allen muss jetzt nur noch den Besuch bei Freunden in Rotterdam klar machen, damit ich dann die Fähren buchen kann.
Billiger wird es nicht mehr.

Dann Hotel in London, weil sich das die Teens gewünscht haben und Teen1 ja mit mir dazu einem Konzert will.
Anschließend eine Woche Wales und dann eine Woche Yorkshire.

Außer London, natürlich alles im Zelt.
