Today's hike is going to be the Kinder Scout circular. As well as being a classic Peak District walk and taking in the highest point in Derbyshire, it's also the birthplace of the right to roam and the National Park system in the UK, due to a historical act of mass disobedience.

Sounded too high to me. But I see where you got that number from: "About one-third of hikers spent between $5,000-$8,000 on their hike. However, the most common amount spent was $10,000, and a whopping 24 people spent $15,000 or more! This brought the average and median up to $7,212 and $8,000, respectively."

So, depending on which definition of "average" you're using....

Pack and Raft.

A rather simple trip that involved 7km walking with boat shoes on tarmac. I really expected soft forrest trails here but I had to work with whats there :D After a lunch break with some cold nutritious powder in filtered water I made the jump to inflate the boat and transition into the river to head back to the start through some wilder sections with a little white water.
