I took this photo last September. Fall was almost there but still summer wanted to stay a little bit more. She's a bear hanging around with her cubs in a prairie at the very last moment of the sun and I like how she looks peaceful. Beautiful bear, isn't it ?

The Joy of Catching a Fish! 🐟✨
This photo was taken at Halistenkoski in Turku, where large numbers of small fish occasionally swim upstream. During these times, the gulls have a feast, and you can see plenty of them fishing above the rushing waters of the rapids. The surrounding area is a beautiful cultural landscape, and it’s wonderful that you can enjoy nature so close to the city—even though this environment is heavily shaped by human influence. Still, I find it much more diverse than, for example, commercial forests dominated by monocultures. However, the noise from passing cars can be unpleasant, especially during rush hours when people are commuting to and from work.

Since I started as a photographer, I have always loved silhouettes, the low light of the evening or morning. I love these atmospheres. During a recent trip to Finland, I had the immense privilege of meeting this mother bear just before nightfall. For me, it was such an unforgettable moment.

Depuis que j'ai commencé à photographier, j'ai toujours aimé les silhouettes, les lumières rasantes du soir ou du matin. Les contres et frisants. J'adore ces ambiances. Lors d'un récent voyage en Finlande, j'ai eu l'immense privilège de rencontrer cette maman ourse juste avant la tombée de la nuit. Pour moi, ce fut un moment inoubliable.

A dragonfly sits on a wooden surface. Its abdomen is blue, except at the tail end where it is black. the thorax is dark brown and the eyes are a very dark green. The wings are held stretched out at 90 degrees from the body and are long relative to the size of the dragonfly, the wingspan being considerably longer than the head to tail length.

On the second segment of its abdomen is a black mark in a complicated shape, often described as looking like the traditional symbol for mercury. This shape would be less complex if it were one of the common species - a u shape for Azure Damselfly and a round blob for Common Blue.
