It turns out you bake glazed lemon blueberry bread.
We were going to need snacks for our sign making session anyway.
A new recipe for me but I am happy with the end result.
Moist and not too sweet.
Summer was watching me bake and looked interested for a few minutes. Obviously the interest gave way to a nap.

Put some #bread on to prove while I went to yoga earlier. Came back and put it in the oven while I showered and now it’s done #baking

Well, sweet potato bread, attempt one, wherein I failed the basic rule of experiments; write down what you did. But I’m not sure how you could actually make a foolproof recipe because each potato is going to be different in texture and wetness, so you kinda just have to do it by feel. Anyway, this one was 1 large roasted, peeled and smushed sweet potato, about 3 cups of high protein flour, 2.5 tsp yeast, 1 tsp fine grain salt, 1 tablespoon raw sugar. About 7 oz of warm water, added an ounce or so at a time. 1st rise, an hour, second rise about 45 minutes, bake 425f for 25ish minutes to internal temp of 210f.

Changes I would make, longer second rise, lower temp to 400 and bake a little longer, or sheild the top at 425.

Recently, I baked a fresh apple pie for my daughter's family. I painstakingly decorated it with flowers. My grandson came right out to pick it up still hot from the oven.
I covered the top with a kitchen towel and away he went.
When he got it home and set it on their table one of the cats jumped up and walked across the towel, and wrecked the top of the pie.
My daughter didn't mention the cat encounter but the grandkids spill everything.
This time I saved the cat the trouble. Pumpkin pie with pre-cat, cat prints.
I hope it makes my daughter smile.
